This six-week course is designed to give the student a thorough working knowledge of the theory and practice of genethlialogy, or natal astrology. The student will learn: the history and philosophy of the art; the planetary, zodiacal and house significations; and how to interpret and synthesize all the information contained in a natal chart into a coherent “picture” of the native (the subject of the natal chart) and their life’s narrative arc. There will be an optional exam and certificate in natal astrology from the Institute for Hermetic Studies with a passing grade.
The course will be held live via ZOOM for six consecutive weeks after which it will be available in recorded mode for future students.

Jaime Paul Lamb is a consulting astrologer and tarotist residing in Phoenix, AZ. He is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers (AFA); he is certified in Hellenistic Astrology through Chris Brennan’s premier course on the subject; and he is a current student of the eminent horary astrologer and astrological magician, Christopher Warnock. History and Philosophy of Astrology
Learn the historical and philosophical foundations for natal astrology, as well as outlining the similarities and differences between our modern worldview and the worldview from which astrology had emerged. These are important concepts to consider and digest, as they will inform our foundations in the art.
Chart Delineation Techniques
We will synthesize all we have learned and also apply extended techniques such as profections, transits, “turned” or derived houses, melothesia, synastry and more. The student will be able to delineate a natal chart on their own, while applying extended techniques where applicable.
Optional Exam and Certification
Students who have completed the course will have the option to be tested and certified in their understanding of this material. A certificate signed by their instructor and the Institute for Hermetic Studies will be issued. An additional Testing and Certificate Fee of $50 will be paid directly to the Instructor should you decide this option.
